Vista View Post-Acute
3/14/26
My husband was sent to Vista View from tri-city hospital after having a stroke. He sat there all day doing nothing, waiting on everything he needed. Somedays he got 4 of his 9 pills somedays 2. Insulin missed due to none available. His roommate died around 10:00am and my husband had to be next this dead man up until 6pm that night. He called me to see if I could get him out. His blood pressure was high and no one cared just left him in there. I called vista view and the man said they were waiting for the morgue and had no where else to put my husband. Two days later I was called to see if I could come take my husband to the urologist? The van driver called in sick, so I had to take him to his appointment. When I got there he had his clothes packed and I stacked everything in lap. We went to the desk to pick up the documents for the doctor and no one noticed or even looked at us . The lady just said it’s right there on the counter. So we borrowed the wheelchair and away we went. I told the doctor, I wasn’t taking my husband back to that hell hole and was talking him home. His anxiety was very high and I wasn’t sleeping while he was there. After the doctor appointment I called vista view and told his nurse he wasn’t coming back anytime. They were short staffed and not getting his insulin because of being out. She looked up his chart and said Oh HE REFUSED It that’s how they cover things up. I have my notes from his stay and sending it to our local ombudsman and they will review my notes and read my letters and records. The only time that I received a call from them, was the next day from the woman in charge of the wheelchairs and yelling at me that she wanted her wheelchair back. She didn’t show up like she said she would and sent a man to pick it up on the second day. He’s so much better at home. Getting clean clothes on every day and great food . A working tv and clock you don’t know how much you rely on the tv when you’re alone.
Vista View has the best Administrator in the business ROGER HUNTE. Love you Roger. Anyone who is blessed enough to be in a building Roger Hunte is in charge of, well they will be treated like you are his personal family. That’s how he treats every patient.
The staff are incredibly caring and attentive, always making sure the residents feel comfortable and well taken care of. The facility itself is clean, spacious, and welcoming. There’s a real sense of community, and it’s clear they prioritize the health and happiness of everyone who lives there. Highly recommend to anyone looking for quality care for their loved ones.
We had our grandma transferred from Sharp Memorial to Vista View to be closer to our family in Fallbrook, and from day one, the team was incredibly involved in every aspect of her care. Everyone was kind, attentive, and truly focused on her recovery.
After 16 days of rehab, she’s now home with us and doing great! We are especially thankful for Sunni, the rehab director, who went above and beyond throughout the entire process. Her dedication made a huge difference in my grandma’s recovery.
We’re so grateful to the entire Vista View team—thank you for taking such great care of our loved one!
We are so thankful for the amazing care my dad received at Vista View after his stay at Tri-City. Dr. Barco was incredibly attentive to his needs, and MJ went above and beyond—keeping in touch with me daily and providing regular updates. The whole team was compassionate and professional. Thank you, Vista View!
We had the pleasure of working with VistaView Post-Acute yesterday, and it was a wonderful experience. The staff was professional, kind, and highly organized, which made everything go smoothly. It’s clear that they truly care about their patients and create a welcoming environment for everyone. We look forward to continuing to work with them and highly recommend their facility to anyone seeking quality rehab care.
If you’re looking for the best care for your Mom this is the place. We couldn’t have been happier.
Was a great experience.
Indisputably the best. Care. Was unmatchable.
The Physical and Occupational Therapy here is top-notch! My surgeon was impressed with the progress I made in such a short time after knee replacement surgery. Mike, Brent, Jasmine, Cynthia, and others whose names I’ve forgotten! You are all rockstars! And a shout out to Samantha and Regina, Gladys, Ruth, and any names I forgot….you were all great! And social services and case management as well! Thank you!
I highly recommend Vista View Post Acute Care. The facility is light and bright and the staff is amazing.
When we transferred my mom from the hospital to Vista View after hip surgery, my mom was in bad shape, on a feeding tube, with a urine infection, not even able to stand or sit up by herself. Five weeks later, she is walking down the long hallway with a walker and feeding herself a regular diet.
The nurses have been wonderful, working with us to optimize my mom’s many health issues including Parkinson’s and heart disease. The nurse assistants have been kind, friendly, and hard working.
The therapy team is awesome. Carlo, PT, Shaquita, OT, and Pricilla, speech therapy worked daily with my mom encouraging her and pushing her to get stronger. The therapists worked with us, the family, giving us advice on ways to keep mom safe and strong at home.
The administrative team met with us a number of times to optimize care and plan discharge to home.
The front desk receptionists were friendly and helpful. And my mom enjoyed the healthy, tasty meals.
Overall, we had an excellent experience at Vista View Acute Care.
Great facility with great staff!
My grandfather was here for less than two weeks and it was an amazing experience. We could not believe the level of hospitality. It felt like he was staying in a resort. Thanks again for everyone that cared for him endlessly.
Vista View Post Acute has an amazing team that works together to provide the best care possible!
I believe that everyone who works with the patients care deeply about doing a good job. I also believe they care about the patients. Everyone on the floor is kind and respectful. They work very hard yet they have always been professional and kind to my mom and I.
They have daily activities and monthly parties for patients and families. They provide manicures, go on outings, have zumba classes, bingo, and many other activities.
My mom loves all the nursing staff and I have seen nothing but the best in all of them.
